Add to plan Remove from plan

Recognized as one of the nation's largest leading land trusts by conserving more than 160,000 acres in North Florida and South Georgia, this fire-ecology-oriented research station is where in 1895 naturalist Henry Beadel began his work on using fire as a timber and wildlife-management tool. It was originally Beadel's hunting plantation. The Tall Timbers Research Station was established in 1958 and researchers continue his work there. Tours offered by appointment only
