Historic warehouse district now home to more than 50 artist studios, galleries, and small shops. Railroad Square Art Park serves as Tallahassee's Art District, the creative haven for many Tallahassee artists and other creative, small businesses, such as vintage clothing and thrift stores, shops featuring locally-made products, and even a vintage pinball arcade and indoor rock climbing gym. Options for dining/refreshments include Black Dog Cafe on the Square (coffee, gourmet pops, and more), the Crumbox Gastgarden (only cafe in town built out of a real railroad caboose), and Proof Brewery (with a great outdoor beer garden). On the first Friday of every month, the park hosts the First Friday Gallery Hop, a highly popular event from 6-9pm celebrating art, music and fun. Second Saturdays are now also a popular at the art park, with open galleries and shops during the daytime, and events at Black Dog and the Crumbox in the evening. However, Railroad Square is now becoming a daily destination, with many shops open in the afternoon Tuesday/Wednesday through Sunday.
